President's Message

Joe Carnevale, LC
President’s Message:
I’m pleased to report we had a very fine year,
especially the Golf Outing on September 16, 2005. We had a full field
of players and I’m especially appreciative of all the sponsors who made
it possible for us to reach our goal to raise the money we need to
support this year’s programs.
January 2006 marks the Illuminating Engineering
Society’s 100th Year. The IES is planning a huge
bash/conference in New York-Jan 8-10th. You can check out
all the details on line www.iesna.org.
We will have our Annual Gala Event on January 12,
2006 in New Haven at the 500 Blake Street Café. We will be honoring a
few of our members.
We have worked hard over the past few months to
plan another year of meaningful educational programs. Take a moment to
see what’s in store and mark your calendar to ensure you attend the
programs you want. If you don’t have a copy of the calendar of events
you can get it on our web site
www.wneies.org.
The Tenth Annual Joint Dinner Meeting of the Design
and Construction Industry will be held at the Rocky Hill Marriott on
Tuesday February 28, 2006.
On February 8th and 9th,
2006, Efficiency Vermont will once again present the Northeast’s
premiere conference on building energy efficiency and high performance.
The Better Buildings By Design 2006 Conference will offer opportunities
to learn about design and construction approaches and technologies that
are being used to create today’s high performance commercial and
residential buildings.
Don’t forget to check out our web site when you get
a chance.
Please feel free to contact me for any questions or
ideas you may have to improve our IES section.
Regards,
Joe Carnevale, LC
