Join us for a presentation on how to introduce contemporary linear lighting concepts into traditional lighting design practices. Emily will introduce visual schematic design approaches, as well as review necessary specifications and collaborative relationships with multiple parties such as; audio visual integrators, interior designers, and site installation teams. Emily will discuss the importance of fixture compatibility with home control systems, and timing of involvement into a project for success.

Presenter:

Emily Gorecki is an energetic architectural lighting designer who is passionate about all aspects of design and methodology. Classically trained in Interior Design, Emily cultivated the continuation of lighting education through aspiring design professionals as an adjunct professor teaching lighting design at her alma mater for five years, and continues to mentor landscape lighting professionals participating in the International Landscape Lighting Institute (ILLI). For over a decade as a sole-proprietorship, Emily has enjoyed focusing her talents in the high-end market, both residentially and commercially. Honing an aesthetic of blending traditional design practices with modern lighting technologies, Emily's designs are pioneered alongside a fluid, complex network of integration through multiple trade collaborations.
